About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced & talented PHP Web Developer to develop cutting edge websites and solutions for our vast and varied client base. We are currently growing digital and web development team and are looking for someone to help develop the roadmap for the department.


The sort of person we're looking for:

We want a developer with a desire to move forward and help chart the path of our digital team as we look to the future. The role will involve developing impressive PHP based websites and applications from start to finish and working alongside a small inspirational team, with an eye on growth. You will have full input into the direction of projects, working closely with different roles within the agency.

 

  • Proven experience in developing PHP based applications
  • 3 years+ programming skills and experience in PHP, HTML, CSS and ideally (but not essentially) a knowledge of Linux
  • CMS development experience, primarily Wordpress but other open-source frameworks will be of interest


Your key responsibilities would be:

  • Supporting with the creation of clear and detailed proposals for new projects
  • Developing functional and visually engaging websites and features
  • Solving cross-browser and cross-device compatibility issues
  • Working in a multi-disciplined team
  • Collaborating with designers, strategists, and project managers
  • Servicing existing and new client’s web site requirements
  • Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design
  • Designing, building, and configuring solutions to meet business
  • Testing and debugging of applications
  • Writing testable, scalable, and efficient code and leading code reviews
  • Attending and contributing to all relevant meetings and training as required.
  • Completing non-conformance and OFI administration & relevant customer contact as directed, supporting investigations and the implementation of corrective actions

 

Key attributes required are:

  • Commercial WordPress experience. (HTML, CSS, UI, Frontend)
