An opportunity has arisen in our prepress studio, and we are looking for a studio operator to support our customers, customer service and production teams by ensuring the smooth transition of incoming files through proofing and imposition for litho and digital presses. The successful applicant will be working within a close-knit, dynamic team to ensure files are preflighted, proofs turned around quickly and imposition optimised for production to delight our fantastic customer base.

About the role: 

You would join us on a full-time contract basis, and in return, you would receive a competitive salary dependent on experience. 

As our Studio Operator, you would be responsible for ensuring that incoming litho and digital work is preflighted to surface any issues early on and turn around proofs promptly. Work will be imposed to ensure production is optimised and litho plates are output as required.

 

What we're looking for:

This role requires strong personal initiative, flexibility, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and excellent time keeping, as well as a positive company-orientated attitude and desire to consistently achieve and perform at the highest level.

You will have proven experience working in a busy studio, in a mixed litho and digital environment, with working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite.

Experience with Fuji XMF workflow, Enfocus Pitstop and Tharstern MIS would be desirable, although additional training will be provided as required. 

 

 The roles key accountabilities are:

 

  • Preflighting and proofing incoming customer files within company SLA, flagging issues before they get into production.
  • Using prepress workflow to colour manage and impose jobs for production.
  • Using and maintaining platemaking equipment, software and Epson proofing devices as required.

 

About our offer.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am-6pm, with overtime opportunities.

Competitive salary dependent on experience.

26 days annual holiday + Bank Holidays
